Work With Us

Reborn in Africa is a specialist African heritage and reconnection partner working in partnership with organisations and travel professionals who share our belief that travel, especially heritage-led travel, carries responsibility, meaning, and consequence.

Our role is not simply to design journeys, but to help shape experiences that are culturally grounded, thoughtfully structured, and delivered with care.

We design and deliver deeply contextual journeys across West and Central Africa that move beyond symbolic “homecoming” experiences into culturally grounded, ancestry-aware, and ethically facilitated reconnection travel.

Our work supports travel advisors serving African-American and diaspora travellers in guiding clients through emotionally significant journeys, from first return to ancestral specificity; with discretion, integrity, and on-the-ground expertise across Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Benin, Cameroon, and Gabon.

How We Work

We support the design and delivery of journeys that go beyond sightseeing; journeys that invite connection, reflection, and a deeper understanding of place.

Depending on the nature of the partnership sought, we:

  • Design bespoke group travel programmes

  • Support heritage- and culture-led itineraries

  • Operate behind the scenes or in a co-branded capacity

  • Advise on narrative, context, and cultural framing

  • Deliver end-to-end programmes in collaboration with our partners

Every engagement begins with conversation. We listen carefully before proposing anything.

Our Approach

Our work is guided by a deep respect for history, lived experience, and the communities we engage with.

We are attentive to:

  • Narrative integrity and cultural accuracy

  • The balance between access and reverence

  • Avoiding surface-level or extractive storytelling

  • Working responsibly with local partners and communities

Heritage-led travel deserves care. We take that seriously.

What Sets Us Apart

Reborn in Africa sits at the intersection of cultural insight and practical delivery.

Partners choose to work with us because we offer:

  • Depth without pretence

  • Structure without rigidity

  • Cultural awareness without performance

  • Professional delivery grounded in lived understanding

We are not volume-driven, nor do we operate off-the-shelf programmes. Our work is shaped collaboratively and delivered with intention.

Our Team

Reborn in Africa is led by people who understand that heritage travel is not transactional, but personal. Each journey we design carries emotional weight, historical depth, and cultural responsibility. Our team brings together strategic oversight, partnership intelligence, and on-the-ground expertise across West and Central Africa to ensure every experience is handled with care and context.

From founder vision to country-level coordination, we operate as a connected network rather than a distant operator. Our Partnership Manager works closely with travel advisors and collaborators, while our Country Managers bring lived knowledge, trusted relationships, and operational precision within their respective destinations. This structure allows us to move thoughtfully and confidently across borders while maintaining cultural integrity at every stage.

Together, we are united by one principle: reconnection journeys deserve seriousness, sensitivity, and excellence in execution. Behind every itinerary is a team that understands what is at stake, and honours it accordingly.

FAQs - Travel Professionals & Organisations

Who do you typically work with?

We work with travel advisors, tour operators, organisations, and group leaders whose audiences are interested in heritage-, culture-, and purpose-led travel. Our partners are based in the UK, the US, and internationally.

Do you work with US-based partners?

Yes. We regularly collaborate with US-based organisations and travel professionals, particularly those serving diaspora, cultural, faith-based, or special-interest audiences.

Are your programmes off-the-shelf or bespoke?

All programmes are designed in response to the specific needs, context, and audience of our partners. While we may draw from established themes or regions, every journey is shaped collaboratively.

Do you operate behind the scenes or as a named partner?

Both. Depending on the partnership, we can work in a white-label capacity, co-branded arrangement, or as a visible delivery partner.

What group sizes do you support?

Group sizes vary depending on destination, theme, and objectives. We typically support small to mid-sized groups and will advise on what works best for each programme.

What happens after an initial enquiry?

Initial conversations are exploratory and obligation-free. If there is alignment, we will discuss scope, timelines, and how best to work together.

How far in advance should we engage you?

We recommend engaging us as early as possible, particularly for group travel. This allows time for creative design, availability checks, scenario planning and alignment on expectations.

Are your journeys suitable for faith-based or heritage groups?

Yes. Many of our partnerships involve faith-based, cultural, or heritage-focused organisations. We approach such programmes with sensitivity, respect, and careful contextual grounding.
